Frequently Asked Questions about Twin Lights Home Care
What is Twin Lights Home Care?
A locally owned and operated business dedicated to helping elderly residents in the Monmouth County area continue to live in the comfort, security and privacy of their own homes. We serve residents who no longer are independent enough to live on their own, but aren’t ready to enter a nursing home, assisted-living facility or other institutional setting.
What services do you provide?
We provide live-in aides who are experienced, compassionate and totally dedicated to offering clients assistance whenever they need it. We carefully screen our aides before they move in with a client. And once they do, we support and supervise the aide to ensure the best possible service for the client. We are committed to being completely responsive to our clients’ needs.
What do the aides do?
Help with bathing and dressing, medication reminders, cooking, light housekeeping, laundry, companionship, recreation and support when getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
Are there any requirements for the client?
Clients agree to provide the aide with a private sleeping area, meals, access to phone, television and internet, and occasional breaks for personal business and relaxation.
Do the aides get days off?
Our aides typically work three weeks in a row, then take 4-5 days off to spend time with their families. When an aide goes on break, Twin Lights Home Care provides a replacement aide who is equally experienced, compassionate and dedicated to serving the client.
Is Twin Lights Home Care Insured?
Yes. We have a comprehensive liability policy covering property damage and injury. (A copy of the declarations page is available upon request.) Our aides are covered by workmans compensation insurance.
Is Twin Lights Home Care a licensed home health agency?
Yes, we are registered with the N.J. Division of Consumer Affairs as a health care services firm.
Is Twin Lights Home Care a franchise?
No. We are owned and operated by lifelong residents of Monmouth County. Since we don’t pay franchise fees, our overhead costs are low. That -- and the fact that we have a manageable coverage area -- is why we can provide better service than our competitors, often at a substantially lower rate.
How much does it cost?
For a single client, Twin Lights Home Care charges an all-inclusive fee of $265.00 per day. For a couple, the rate is $325.00 per day. (The daily rate is higher on holidays, including Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving, to cover overtime pay for the aides.)
How often are the clients billed?
Typically once a week, but other terms can be negotiated.
Do you require a deposit?
We require a security deposit equal to one week of billings. The deposit will be refunded when service is discontinued.
Can I cancel the service at any time?
Yes. We request that you give us two weeks’ notice.
Do you accept credit cards or debit cards?
We accept cash or checks, and we encourage clients to pay using the direct-deposit function offered by our invoicing system, QuickBooks. It’s the easiest way to manage billings and payments.
